I'm participating, as are some of you, in a very cool idea. It's the Ultimate Blog Party, hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom. If you haven't yet, check it out... a very cool idea and a great way to discover new blogs and have yours discovered, too!For those of you just stopping in for the party, here is a quick synopsis of me: my name is Karen, I live in Ottawa with my husband, John, and my two kiddies: Emily who is 2 1/2 and Hope who is just 6 months. When not on maternity leave, I work for the Canadian federal government in the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. My plans were to keep Emily in daycare part-time while I was on this maternity leave but a few weeks before my due date my daycare provider told me she was closing shop. I had three weeks of having Hope on my own before Emily was home with me full-time. It took me a while to get my head around it and stop panicking. But, here I am six months later. I've learned a lot and wouldn't have it any other way now. In fact, I am looking for ways to avoid going back to the office.
